PYF have been tasked by the office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) to be in contact with organisations working with the regions young people to facilitate and develop the election process for the local Youth Commissioners. This process is being developed with a young person centred approach, in order to ensure that the elected Youth Commissioners role is of genuine impact to the local area and its young people. We believe that you are best placed to nominate and support young people living in your local areas to apply and be elected for the role of Youth Commissioner.
What are we looking for? We welcome your organisation and young people to be a part of a new process to nominate and elect youth representatives to serve on the West Midland PCC’s Youth Commission.
We will recruit a total of 16 volunteer Youth Commissioners who will represent the region as a whole to support the Commissioner and local police teams to relate and respond to the views of young people and advocate on their behalf.
A template and press pack for the election campaign will follow upon your interest in supporting the process of West Midlands Police and Crime Youth Commissioners.
