Rashid’s Ramblings – November

Rashid’s Ramblings – November

by Positive Youth Foundation / Wednesday, 08 November 2017 / Published in PYF Latest News, Rashid's Ramblings
My Ramblings of this month can really only focus on one item, the recent ‘Changing Trax – Electric Proms’ delivered by our team on the 1st November.
What a night! The young people and staff involved showed Coventry and our wider national partners what they are all about. Passion, determination and most of resilience.
The journeys of the young people have each been unique and life-changing. This was not a music show, it was an opportunity to raise the aspirations of young people and partners alike.
My special thanks to the staff team at PYF, the partners involved in the delivery and funding of the programme. A night where we witnessed first-hand, the value of effective partnership working. I asked all guests to make a pledge towards young people in the city, something which you will be held accountable for!
We talked about inducting our partners in to the ‘PYF Family’, which by extension, is the city and beyond, as we all have a role to play in helping all young people to improve their life chances.
So whilst we sit back today and reflect on all of the incredible moments that made the event so very special, we also keep a close eye on the future, and remind ourselves that our work is not yet complete as many young people are in need of critical support.
Thank you to each of you for your ongoing support – together, we can ensure that no young person is left behind.
