We are pleased to announce that as part of the ‘Progress’ programme, we have recently been awarded a contract to deliver ‘End-to-End’ support for young people in Coventry.
Our national partner Groundwork UK has been awarded £2.8m to launch a brand new programme of coaching and support to help NEET and at risk of NEET young people across Coventry and Warwickshire progress into training, education and employment.
‘Progress’, is a part of ‘Building Better Opportunities’ – a programme funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund designed to tackle poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England.
The programme has been designed to help young people (aged 15 – 24 years) improve their chances of employment by offering them a personalised programme of personal and skills development led by ‘Progress Coaches’ – experienced youth work professionals who will help them navigate a tailored path towards employment. The programme is designed to improve the employment prospects of each young person, building confidence and helping them recognise their potential.
Groundwork UK will lead a unique partnership of local organisations to transform the prospects of some of the most marginalised young people in Coventry and Warwickshire.
We will be working with a range of Coventry partners including Coventry Citizens Advice, Coventry City Council, Groundwork West Midlands, Hereward College, Motorvate UK, Team SpringBoard and Voluntary Action Coventry.
We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced, qualified youth worker to join our busy team and to help us deliver on a new youth-employment focused project across Coventry. Your remit will cover all sections of project co-ordination from content preparation to session delivery. For more information or to apply, please click here.
The deadline for applications is November 1st, with interviews taking place during the week beginning the 7th November. For an application pack or more information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
