Positive Youth Foundation are looking forwarding to a week of huge celebrations for the twentieth year of Refugee Week in 2018. Working alongside Coventry City Council’s MiFriendly Cities programme, Coventry Refugee & Migrant Centre, the Positive Images Festival and Fargo Village, we have put together a programme of events and activities for all.
From Monday 18th all the way through to Sunday 24th June there will exciting events and activities happening every day, starting with an Eid Feast for 200 people and cumulating with a Changing Trax “World Music Edition” Open Mic, all hugely supported by the City of Culture.
Amongst those opening and closing events PYF have coordinated with partners to bring the city: A Festival of Art, Coventry Nations Football Tournament, which leads into the National Refugee Tournament at Fulham FC), a Health Fayre and an afternoon of Debating with The RSC, to name but a few!
Refugee Week is shaping up to be a highlight of Summer 2018, a celebration of integration and diversity. Be sure to keep an eye on all of the organisations webpages and social media channels for details on all of the upcoming events. Everyone’s welcome, we hope to see you there!
