Project Coordinator (Newly Arrived Young People’s Project)
The post-holder will be responsible for co-ordinating our project for young people who are newly arrived, refugees or asylum seekers. We expect the post holder to have high standards in relation to supporting young people and establishing effective partnerships with key stakeholders.
Funded by The Tudor Trust.
This is a fixed-term post until June 2017, 37 hours per week with a salary banding of £15,500-£18,500
Youth Activity Leaders – Sessional Hours
This role is an important element of our daytime provision for young people.
Working as part of a team, you will deliver a range of engaging programmes to support young people.
You will have the opportunity to deliver school-based and community sessions in the form of youth clubs, sports projects and more.
Salary band £13,000-£15,000 pro-rata

Coventry City Council is set to help more local people get into sport thanks to £215,000 of National Lottery funding from Sport England’s Community Sport Activation Fund.
The Council and its partners, Coventry Sports Foundation, Sky Blues in the Community and Positive Youth Foundation are among 88 projects to receive a share of £15 million of national funding to support grassroots sport activity across the country.
The #Ucan team will be running a range of sporting activities and events over the next three years, with activities planned for a variety of age groups from 14 + (including adults).
The Community Sport Activation Fund is investing a total of £47.5 million of funding over five funding rounds. Already 156 projects have shared in £27.2 million of funding over three rounds, receiving grants of between £50,000 and £250,000 to provide grassroots sport at a very local level.
Activities are due to start at the beginning of July, and information for local people can be found on www.covsport.org.uk

Working closely with the Operational Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating our community safety and targeted interventions programmes. Hours are flexible, but based upon 30-37 hours per week. You will need to have at least two years experience in a similar role.
Salary Range: £15,000-£17,500 pro-rata based on experience and qualifications.
Activity Leaders / Youth Workers
These roles are to support the team in delivering a range of education, health and community sport projects across Coventry. Hours are flexible.
Salary Range: £12,000-£18,500 pro rata based on experience and qualifications.

New Post: Creative Programmes Assistant
20-30 Hours per week. Salary Band £12,200-£22,000 pro rata
12 months fixed-term contract from 1st April 2014
We are seeking to appoint a creative individual to join our busy team and to help us deliver on a number of youth focused projects across the city of Coventry. Your remit will cover all sections of project support from content preparation to session delivery.
We are looking for someone with experience across a range of delivery mediums (Including: Education, Art, Dance, Drama, Music, Digital Media and Sport).
This particular role will engage with mostly female participants in a number of forums: one-to-one peer mentoring, small group work, large activity groups.
You will need the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage your own workload with minimum supervision. Essential to the role is a passion and understanding of the relevant issues affecting young people. A commitment to engage young people, from any background, in positive activities is vital. You will need the confidence to work with an array of professionals in order to support the PYF vision and objectives.
You will have excellent administrative skills including good numeracy and IT skills. Communication skills both written and verbally will need to be of a high standard, as will your organisational skills and attention to detail.
We meet the needs of young people by making our sessions accessible in every way; therefore you will need the flexibility to work at varied times, including evenings and weekends.
– Experience of paid work with young people in a creative/educational setting.
– Experience of working in high-priority/targeted community settings
– Access to a vehicle as the role requires city-wide travel
The interview process will have two parts;
– A formal interview with a panel
– A short practical exercise working with a group of young people.
